Project Overview
Challenge: To help busy workers and residents, who lack the time, to order meals on a daily and weekly basis at a local sushi restaurant.
Solution: Design an app for Sushi Heiwa that allows its users to schedule and customize orders ahead of time or under a certain, reasonable time.
Understanding the User
PAIN POINTS
The end user are busy adults who order from a restaurant as part of their weekly meal planning. The initial focus of Sushi Heiwa’s customers are how busy they are, and how to help with placing orders in the restaurant's app. Research later on shows that health options and knowing details of order is very important. The option to have food delivery is sometimes convenient due to no interruption in daily schedule.
Time
Busy adults that have meal planning options beyond cooking at home.
Accessibility
Platforms for ordering food have limited assistive technologies.
IA
To have menus and order confirmation to be easy to read and locate.

Going Forward
One quote from a participant:
“The app’s buttons and icons are placed and sized to my expectation. I didn’t need to search to find where I wanted to click at.”
Impact: The Sushi Heiwa app meets the needs of users to customize their order and choose their desired schedule.
Personal Understanding: During the designing process of Sushi Heiwa app, I have learned that peer and participant feedbacks are essential to enhance the user experience. Not only enhance it but correct any problems and reach any desired goals within the app through thoughtful iterations.
